Friday Favorites November 8th

Happy Friday friends! Anyone else feeling like this???

Ugh, the darkness is tough! But we made it to Friday!!!  As always, I am linking up with Andrea & Erika for a little Friday Favorites. A peek into a few of my favorite things from the week.

one

Kids mostly wrapped up their Fall sports seasons.  Luke wrapped up his volleyball season about a week and a half ago, but was called up to practice with the varsity team for their playoffs. While he didn’t experience playing time, it was pretty cool to be able to play with the group.

Looking forward to travel volleyball and basketball coming up next!

We had Ella's final cross country banquet this week. Another bittersweet "last" in this Senior year. She has a little bit more running left, with the State Championship coming up next weekend!

The kids give each other some "fun" awards. She got best dressed....which was not shocking. She is always heading to practice in a coordinated workout outfit. I may have won the same award when I was in highschool. Lol! How cute is her skirt? And it's 30% off!

two

This picture may not do it justice, but this marinated chicken and noodles from A Healthy Slice of Life is one of my kids' favorite meals. We made it for dinner this week.

Another favorite for dinner this week was chili and cornbread. It was perfect for Sunday after a day watching football, cooler weather, and the fact that it got dark at like 5 o’clock. I share the details on my favorite chili recipe here.

Maybe not the best picture, but this nail polish color has quickly become one of my favorites. It’s just a pretty red with a touch of berry color. A great shade for holidays!
And this grey cardigan is one of my favorites and 30% off right now!

I have been loving all of the new sweaters at Target. And they are 30% off  through tomorrow!

This one caught my eye in store. It is so cozy and thick and a great length to wear with leggings.

Unfortunately, this cardigan is old, but they have one very similar that I have in cream and black.

See, here is this cardigan in the cream.  It's a great length and soft cotton. I thought it was cute with a little front tuck. It comes in several colors, but I am always a sucker for cream. And  my loafers are a go to. I wear them at least once a week to work.

I was in Target this week and how adorable are these bags?
The red one is gorgeous for a holiday party and the black is perfect for a Fall or Winter date night.

While we are on Target, I shared this before, but am still loving this green Set. Perfect color for Fall and Winter and a great price point to try a new color in your workout wear. I’ve always said I will invest in black or neutral pieces, but when I want to try a fun color, I usually go towards Target or Old Navy. I think they both have good quality for the price point.

I also grabbed the matching sweatshirt.

four

I grabbed a few things at the Sephora sale this week. One was this Makeup for Mario set. Tucking away for a holiday gift for Ella.

I also loved these Milk Party Sticks... probably another stocking stuffer!

Last week Paul and I went out for a much-needed night out. Of course we went for Mexican, because I could eat that every day of the week.

It was a cooler night, so I was happy to wear my most favorite leather leggings. They are a splurge but a staple for me in the Fall & Winter.

Also a random find, but I got these boot inserts, and they are perfect for keeping my tall boots shape while in my closet

six

I shared this here before in my Amazon favorites, but these little covers for your full-size products when traveling are so great. They prevent anything from leaking. I used them last week again when I was traveling for work.
And of course in the background, you can see my favorite travel toiletry bag. I love it!!

And that's a wrap on my favorites for the first week of November! Wishing you a great weekend ahead & we will see you back here on Monday. There is always room for one more at our family table.

xoxo

  1. Ahh! I am not a fan of the darker days, today it is grey and gloomy and at almost midday it feels like its much later.
Well done to the kids with the sports and your dinners look so good!

  2. I really need to head to Target. Love the nail color and the stocking stuffer idea. I could go for Mexican every day too. Happy Friday.
