Tuesday at Trader Joe's

Happy Tuesday friends!! Last weekend I was near Trader Joe's and stocked up on a few favorites....and picked up a few new things. I love checking out new food stuff, so I thought I would share some favorites.
The store is not "conveniently" close to me... meaning it's a half hour drive. And in my world, that's too far for me to make a weekly trip 😉.
Then I saw this meme and it made me laugh!

Last Summer I shared some of my favorite Trader Joe's stuff, and you can check those out here. I still love all of those things and have a few more to add to the list.

First I must tell you I stopped there because I really wanted to try this...
I think it would be delish on eggs or avocado toast or really anything. But apparently everyone else thinks so too, because they were sold out. #insertsadface
Then I looked over at the flowers and was quickly smiling again! They always have the best flowers at the best prices!

First up is this coconut granola. I am a big fan of coconut. I think because I feel like I am somewhere tropical when I eat it. Anyway this is so good on yogurt or just by the handful!
Speaking of coconut. This coconut milk is great to have on hand. You can do so much more with it than you think! Or you may be thinking...what the heck do I do with it?? I use it in Thai dishes, to thicken soups, or you can use it to make a "better for you" whipped cream!
I picked up this bag of the cutest avocados ever! Sometimes I don't need a whole one, and they brown so quick...these are the perfect size.
Keeping with the avocado theme, this guac is a household favorite. Dip with veggies or chips...so, so good. My favorite part...it doesn't brown like most guacamoles. I think because it is more Greek yogurt than avocado. Whatever it is, it works and it's delicious!
On my last TJ's post, someone recommended these plantain chips. They were right. These chips are AH-Mazing. Dip them in the guac and you have the best game time snack. I am glad I took a picture when I got home, because Luke finished the bag while watching football on Sunday! I am not sure why I only got one bag. I assure you I will be back for more...and they were $1.69 a bag!!
These corn chips are also a great dipper for that guac. Kind of like a Frito... but better for you? Probably not really better for you, but they taste darn good!
I love this taco seasoning because it just contains spices... no funny stuff.
This I love to have on hand for a quick add to dinner or a salad. Not that rice takes that long to make.

But these are three little packs and they microwave in three minutes. They have a quinoa blend that I love too.
Now I have not tried these yet, but they looked to cute not too. Just saute them up with a little seasoning and they seem like a fun veggie to have with dinner.
I use liquid aminos as a "better for you" alternative to soy sauce. I was all out of the one I usually get, so I thought I would give this one a try.
I grabbed a few of these broths. I use them a lot this time of year in soups. They were a bit cheaper than the ones I get at Wegmans, so we will give them a try.
While I missed out on my Everything But the Bagel seasoning, I did pick up this one. Sounds like it would be good to sprinkle on pork or chicken.
They have pretty decent prices on their olive oils and this one is a favorite because it comes with a convenient pourer you can attach.
Paul loves to drink unsweetened iced tea. His mom always makes her own on the stovetop, but well, I just don't. This one is a nice substitute. Again- tea and water, no funny stuff!
Do you have an favorites from Trader Joe's?? I always love to try new things...drop your favorites in the comments. I will be back there sooner than later for more plantain chips and hopefully the elusive seasoning!!
Have the best day.
See you tomorrow, there's always room for one more at our family table.
xoxo

  1. I toss the zig zags in a little olive oil, season with salt and roast in a 400 degree oven until done, at least twenty minutes. They are delicious as a side with chicken, fish etc. We love the shredded cheeses (mozzarella and Mexican) at TJ's, as well as frozen veggie fried rice, frozen individual pizzas, and battered halibut. The eggs are a great price (we like free range), Greek yogurt, Kerrygold butter (the best), etc. The seasonings are all good and try the chili lime seasoning. We like their organic bagged Brussels sprouts (which we roast like the zig zags), whole carrots, and broccoli too. Bananas are always a good deal. We buy all our nuts there such as almonds, walnuts, and Trail mix. I haven't bought any of their meats, except their pork tenderloin which is good and a great price. Cinnamon applesauce in individual servings is great, jarred pasta sauces, salsa verde, bread, tortillas are also great.
