Friday Favorites Friday May 3rd

Happy Friday friends I cannot believe we are 3 days into May! I don't know about you, but I feel like I blinked and April was over.  So here we are with our first Friday Favorites of May. I am linking up with Andrea & Erika for a little peek into a few of my favorite things from the week.

one
Paul had a busy week last week, as he was down in Florida helping his parents pack up. They have moved up North and will be living just a few miles away from us. We used to only see them a few times a year, so Paul is really excited to have them so close!

Two days into their move and they were able to see Ella race for the first time! So special to have all 4 of her grandparents there to cheer her on!

I took a trip to Trader Joe's last weekend to stock up on a few of our favorites. There is not one too close to us, so I go every other month to grab a few of our must haves.

And I never leave there without flowers. They have the best selection and the best prices.

Sharing some of my favorite foods from this week. Our fitness studio keeps these snacks form a local baker in their cooler. The protein balls are oh so good! Local friends, you need to check out FeelGood Snax!

I shared the recipe for these Pork Carnitas this week. I feel funny calling it a recipe, because it's pretty simple and your crockpot does most of the work!

The berries we had this week were so good. That must mean we are getting closer to berry season.....and that means closer to Summer!!

I shared a bunch of my recent Amazon purchases from the last few weeks. You can check out the whole post here.

Sharing a few of my favorites from that post here.

Ella has a few friends with birthdays this month and I grabbed this set of glass cups.  They came in a set of 4 and I took each one, added a little filler and a Starbucks gift card and had 4 gifts ready to go!

I was so pleased with the quality of this striped sweater! A cap sleeve and mock neck make it a perfect Spring transition piece. It comes in like 8 different stripe/colors and it is under $25. I wore it this week with some of my new favorite jeans.

And you can grab those jeans hereMy mules are not available on Amazon, but this pair is super similar.

I didn't share this on the post, but just got this vest. I am loving the vest trend! I paired it with a tee for work, but it looks great alone for a night out.

I have my electrolytes on subscription, so these arrived this week. I have shared this before, but drinking these has made a difference in how I feel overall. I drink them in the morning, before my morning coffee and I am not turning back. I read something about the importance of drinking water before coffee to help clear your "morning brain fog" and I think there is something to that!

There are a few flavors, but watermelon is my favorite! Not sure on flavor, this variety pack is a great option!

We finally had some nice weather this week! And homework on the patio is always a favorite.

And this memory came up from 9 years ago, when we brought our sweet Maddie home. We were obviously smitten from the start!

It's crazy to see how little she was!

She is a little grey around her face, but still the sweetest girl!

One of my favorite things is to spend some time with my girl. While we love shopping or grabbing a coffee, doing something active is always so fun. A little yoga on a Thursday night is a great way to end the week.

We have an action packed weekend, finishing up the move, SATs, a Derby Party, Paul's Birthday, a track meet, and Cinco de Mayo!  YAY for Spring fun!

Have a great weekend friends!

See you on Monday, there is always room for one more at our family table.

xoxo

  1. How wonderful for Paul's parents to be living so close now and what a great shopping trip to Trader Joe's. Those glass cups as gifts are such a fantastic idea.

  2. I hopped over from the Friday Favorite link up. I'd love to know your must haves from Trader Joes. Ours is not nearby either but I'm in that area about once a month and try to grab a few things. I always feel a little overwhelmed at all the choices. I do also love their flowers! Have a great weekend!
