A Little Life Lately.....

Gosh I cannot believe July is over!!! Lucky for us we have a full month of Summer fun left, as we don't start back to school until September 4th!

Here is a little of what we have been up to.

We hit up the fun in our town for Quaker Days. A week long celebration of Orchard Park, our hometown. There were concerts, a food festival, car show, ice cream social and all kinds of other fun. We had fun at a concert....

and we had fun at the Ice Cream Social.

I have not killed my garden yet this year and actually have used some things we have grown!!! 

While it may not look like much, I am so excited to have it all still alive at this point! I used the basil and tomatoes to make one of our favorites these Chicken Caprese Burgers! You can grab the recipe here. 

Luke went to a weeklong basketball camp and loved every minute of it! He went with some friends and it was his first time at an all day camp. He came home on the last day with the Coach's award and cannot wait to go back next Summer! 

Paul and I went to a Murder Mystery Dinner and had the best time!!! It was a Summer BBQ theme and we all got our "roles" before the party. Paul was a Canine Behavioral Specialist that was difficult to deal with and I was a successful makeup artist! We were not a couple, and Paul ended up being the victim. I think he played the role very well 😉 

He could not talk the rest of the night and kept the mask on, drinking through a straw! Turns out I was the one who killed him!! HA!!!  My makeup is a little over the top to play on my role as a makeup artist!

We have played a lot of baseball! This guy had a tournament last weekend and played 6 games. 

I was so proud of him and his team for battling back from losing three games to winning three and the bronze championship! He has been struggling with his swing, so to watch him hit a triple with bases loaded was so exciting. And then he was the closing pitcher and ended the game with a strikeout! The whole team celebrated together and it was so fun to watch!

I love our baseball family and am so proud the the kids on this team!!

And now off to finish packing... we are headed to the beach this weekend... after another baseball tournament of course😉
