Friday Favorites.... A Few Early Fall Favorites

Happy Friday friends! Back to blogging this week after a break for the beach last week! We had some fun family time away....
If you missed my recaps, you can catch up here.

As always, I am linking up with three of my favorite blogging friends, ErikaNarci & Andrea to share a few of my favorite things!

Ok so I can't believe I am going to share some Fall things here in mid-August, but Target had so many cute new things for Fall I felt the need to share. I love Summer- by far my favorite season and I do not want it to end. Ever. But if it has to end, then Fall it is. My second favorite season. And I happened to be in Target this week, alone. #winning  They had such cute stuff that I had to keep reminding myself I was there for toilet paper not cute booties.  So I thought I would share some of my favorite things to transition to Fall. Not big cozy, sweaters... I am not ready for all of that, but some cute transitional accessory pieces. Things you can mix in with your Summer stuff as we head into September.
Let me tell you, Target's shoe game is pretty amazing for Fall. They have so many cute styles of booties in the $30 range!
I love, love, love this pair. I tried them on in store and they are adorable. With white denim, distressed denim or a dress.... cute, cute, cute!

And they come in this light color too!

I love the detail on this braided bootie and they also come in a great light taupe color. I just think the detail makes them a little more fun!

These are simple and you probably need them in this cognac color and the black! So basic to wear all Fall long and they would be adorable with a dress now.

If you are looking for a higher heel, this option is perfect. The hardest part will be deciding what color to get.. taupe, black or the super cute olive?!?! Friends, the olive color is really great!

This peep toe style is a dupe for a much more expensive designer style. I am always unsure how I feel about the peep toe, but at this price it's worth giving them a shot!

This military vest is the perfect transition piece and under $30!! I am partial to the olive, but it comes in black too. It's a longer style that would look great with tanks now and your white jeans. Then you can take it into Fall with long sleeved tops.

My favorite transition piece is the military jacket. I have had mine forever and get so much wear out of it! I love the cinch waist on this one and the longer length...perfect with leggings! Again, I love the olive as a neutral choice, but like the vest, it comes in black too!

This backpack is adorable. You can use it as a purse, as you can see with the strap there, or tuck it in and carry as a backpack. There are so many cute backpack styles out there. As a mom, it's so functional to have room to throw what you need in there and then put it on your back and be hands-free!

This gray backpack is a little dressier and I think it's a great bag for late Fall/Early Winter. Like Christmas shopping, errands, sightseeing with this bag...perfect. Ok, no more talk of Winter😉

This crossbody is a great everyday bag and really roomy. I picked this up for our trip to Boston next week. I like the size of it and you can wipe it clean. And it comes in olive..my favorite neutral!

I kind of fell in love with bralettes this Summer. I like the look of them peeking out of a tank or showing with an open back shirt, but even better was how comfortable they are! No wire to deal with... gosh that was a game changer. If you want to try one out without spending a lot,  I would recommend this one. Really comfortable, washes well, 4 colors and under $13!!! You can also get 15% off with code XHIL15

Ok, so don't hate me for pushing Fall things. Although I know there are lots of Fall lovers out there! I love it too, but let's not close out Summer quite yet. We can just have fun shopping for Fall things while it stays Summer a little longer😉
We will be at the County Fair tonight to watch Ella dance, a pool party at my brother's tomorrow, some boat time on Sunday and then off to Boston for a few days next week! We have 2 1/2 more weeks until school starts, so we are getting in all the Summer we can!
Have the best weekend!
See you on Monday, there is always room for one more at our family table.
xoxo

  1. I'm not ready for fall just yet...I mean...I am, hahaha. I'm ready for the clothes and the candles and the decor. But I know what comes after Fall and THAT is keeping my excitement at bay. I've got a trunk full of fall clothes waiting for me from the Nordstrom sale + new Matilda Jane releases, but the thought of loosing all these green leaves soon....they can wait in there a little longer lol.

    1. Also, those backpack bags are super cute! I'm intrigued by the bralette, too, but I'm worried it won't give me enough support. I'll have to see if I can spot them in the store and assess the situation, haha

  3. I am not quite ready for fall yet either but I fully admit that fall tends to be my favorite season. I just love the colorful leaves and the crisp cool air that makes it A O K to bundle up in chunky sweaters and hoodies.
