We took a quick trip to his favorite city (Philadelphia) to celebrate.
Luke has been the life of the party since he came into this world....two weeks early and very quickly!
He was the happiest and easiest baby. He loved to sleep and still does. He used to take his blankie to the end of the stairs to go up to bed. Now he isn't as eager to go to bed, but prefers to sleep through the morning.
I don't know that I have a picture from Luke in his first 10 years that he wasn't smiling. He was always up for a good time and had a twinkle in his eye and a quick wit that would make you laugh.
All of his report cards have comments on his sense of humor. He brings a light into his classroom with his humor and his kind soul. He has such a caring heart and never wants for anyone to be left out. I have received letters and phone calls from teachers sharing stories of Luke being kind or ensuring no one is left out, or taking the time to help another student that may have been struggling.
He still finds his humor to be one of his best assets. On a recent school project he had to create a resume and was sure to call out his favorite life skill.
He loves all things seafood. He learned at a very young age what "MP or Market Price" meant on a menu. He never met a shellfish he didn't like.
He loves all things sour and gummy. Sour patch kids have been his go to forever!
He loves basketball. Playing it, watching it, analyzing it.... it's his favorite.
Golf is his newest passion. He loves a round of golf with his buddies in the Summer. This picture of him getting his first golf clubs on his 3rd birthday will forever be a favorite of mine.
