Happy Blogaversary!!!

One year ago.....I started a blog.

And I am still blogging. So today we are celebrating my One Year Blogaversary with a fun post all about blogging & a giveaway to a lucky reader!

 This was my fist ever blog post.

Welcome to the Family Table

I remember hitting publish and seeing that 12 people read it. I thought it was the coolest thing ever! Since then, I have written 254 blog posts. Today is number 255. Wow. It does not seem like I have written that much, but that's probably because I really enjoy it. And it has been pretty cool to watch my monthly readers reach numbers over 10,000! 

During my fist month of blogging, I did a post entitled  "Why Start a Blog?". The reasons are all pretty much the same a year later as they were when I first started.  And then about 6 months into my blogging journey, I did a little update "Why Do I Blog?"

I love this little corner of the internet we have created. I enjoy sharing our life and have loved connecting with readers and other bloggers I probably would have never met. 

So for today's post I will share a few fun facts about the blog.

The most read blog post was  Show & Tell Tuesday Steal vs Splurge

Not sure why this is the most read...but it is! Maybe because it was after the holidays and everyone was looking for a new way to save?? It was a fun post and I talked about two of my favorite things....meal prep & meal planning.

After that these two were the most popular

Friday Favorites...Spring Where are You?

Now I have been linking up to do Friday Favorites since November. For some reason, this one in March was my second most read post. I looked back through it and nothing stands out too much to me... just a random assortment of that week's favorite things. 

Workin' It Wednesday....Keeping Your Marriage Strong

Well this one doesn't really surprise me too much, for two reasons. One, it is a link up with Mix & Match Mama and her BFF Erika at A Little Bit of Everything.....two very successful blogging mamas. And second... the topic.. little tips for marriage can make for an interesting read!

Tuesday Talk....World Down Syndrome Day

A favorite post, about my favorite sister. We received so many great comments and shares on that post. I also loved that through that post I came to know a sweet mama with a little girl named Shea. Shea is rocking that extra chromosome and is involved with the Changing the Face of Beauty campaign. I cannot wait until the Down Syndrome walk next Saturday to meet these sweet girls in person!

Blogger Life

So I kind of take pictures of everything. My kids know it and thinks it's hilarious. "Mama, why are you taking a picture of dinner?" And sometimes there's a big blooper reel when trying to get a picture. Let's take this blog anniversary as an example.  I had this grand plan of balloons and a little cupcake for my anniversary picture. So I picked up a cupcake and some balloons and took this pic on Wednesday night, because I had forgotten to do it over the weekend. The kids were at religion, so I was on my own and took this with a selfie stick. Yep... blogger life. I took about 68 pictures. 

This blooper reel tells quite the story! Not sure how to turn....trying to make it not look like I was using a selfie stick.... should I get a shot of blowing out the candle? Anyway...the candle kept blowing out in the wind. And those balloons were tucked into my belt. The balloons were only in 2/3 of the pics because a gust of wind came and off they went. I'm sure if my neighbors were watching they were wondering what I was doing! But in the end I got a shot I was happy with!

And that my friends, is a little bit about the last year and this blog life. Thank you to everyone that has followed along, shared with a friend, commented, or gave a word of encouragement.
